About The Cause

Orcas get a bad (or at least uneducated) wrap. Orcas can be found in all oceans and belong to regional ecological groups called “ecotypes”. Each ecotype can be told apart as they have distinct color patterns, morphology, behavior, diet, ranges, and genetics.

Orcas are incredibly popular as they are the most widely distributed of all whales and dolphins, found in every single ocean! They are very familiar with their black and white coloring but actually, depending on where they live, they have very different appearances, behavior, ways of communicating and diet!

This graphic was designed to help you to start a conversation and tell the story of their important place as an apex predator in our ocean ecosystem! Wear their story for the health of our oceans.
